Olivia’s Success Story
Her results came back that she has liver disease which was completely heartbreaking.
Olivia 2 years old (3 in april) Left photo- 14/02/21 Right- 04/03/21 (3 weeks apart) In the left photo Olivia was barely eating, runny stools, sickness and in pain. She slept a lot and wasn’t massively interested in food/ playing/walking – which we have always put down to her personality.
She has always been a “sicky” girl from being a pup but have never got anywhere with the vets getting to the root cause. We took her to Towerwood vets (recommended by a friend – Rachel and Gareth) who did blood tests on her after hearing about her health history. This is the first time the vets have tried to find the cause and not treat only the symptoms with her, so we were extremely happy. Her results came back that she has liver disease which was completely heartbreaking. We were given a huge bag of synthetic medications and something just did not feel right about giving her them. We went straight over to speak to Gareth for a second opinion as he has always helped in the past and after recommending a plan of tinctures/fasting/feeding/seamoss we decided to give it a go. We did 1 fast for 3 days, then successfully fed 10 meals in a row (this is huge for us having a dog who missed a lot of meals and only took mouthfuls of others) and now onto our second fast. We have only been following Gareth’s recommendations for 2 weeks but can already see a huge difference in Olivia- her fur is growing back thicker and she has gained a little weight.
The biggest difference we’ve seen in her, is her excitement for food and energy to play! This is a complete turnaround to the dog we had just a month ago and cannot thank Gareth enough for the support and guidance into healing our girl. This is just the start of the journey for us but just wanted to show our appreciation and the already huge changes to Olivia! We cannot thank you enough Gareth!!!
Simba’s Success Story
For the first time in 6 months Simba as actually wanted to play with his toys
Few photos of Simbas journey so far we have had a tough 6 months going through the different tinctures and seeing Simba really poorly but we have never given up hope thanks to Gareth’s support and incredible knowledge.
For the first time in 6 months Simba as actually wanted to play with his toys and is running around the garden and although is skin is still in the healing process we have seen some improvement and his fur has started to come back through and the scabs he had all over him are starting to drop off ,we still have to keep is cone on at night and when he is on his own but I am overwhelmed with the improvement we are achieving with the help of Gareth we know it’s still early days and we may have some setbacks hopefully onwards and upwards for Simba😃😃
The first few pictures are how bad Simba was at the start to how he is now thanks for all the best wishes for Simba from the group
Jack Russel Success Story
We started with Oregon grape root and mullien drops in the ear, cleaning and bathing the ears
So my little Jack Russell started with a poorly ear around 3 months old constantly scratching and making it sore, one ear got better then the other started getting bad, then she started losing fur from around her eyes.
We started with Oregon grape root and mullien drops in the ear, cleaning and bathing the ears and eyes with chickweed tea and a mixture of herbal teas fed orally. Finally after around 3 months she’s getting a lot better, her ears are looking pink again, the hair is starting to grow back around her eyes and she’s not scratching as much.
It’s been a long process but with the help of Gareth and the team at Sure4Pets we’ve almost managed to fix it the natural way. Thank you so much ❤️
Rolo’s Success Story
His skin was extremely sore, cracked and causing him to scratch until he was bleeding
First photo was Rolos skin when we first visited the shop and took advice from Gareth. 2nd photo was a few weeks later after fasting, using tinctures and a fully raw diet. It was getting worse before it got better.
His skin was extremely sore, cracked and causing him to scratch until he was bleeding. We were going to stop when it got this bad as it was awful to see but Gareth advised us to persevere and it would clear up.
It has taken 10 months but as you can see from the 3rd photo his skin is nearly clear. 100% recommend.
Luna’s Success Story
I tried biopsy, blood tests, changing diet, a million and one different shampoos
Long post! From about 8months old luna developed a skin condition. I tried everything biopsy, blood tests, changing diet, a million and one different shampoos and skin products but nothing seemed to make any difference. In the end luna got diagnosed with perivascular dermatitis and I was told If this didn’t clear the only thing they could do for her was steroids.
With her being only 20months old this was not an option. I continued to look for more natural ways around this problem often getting demoralised and frustrated and feeling hopeless for her. But in the end I found sure4pets a shop locally to me who said he has dealt with things like this and has roughly an 80% success rate. But the diet seemed scary to understand and get my head around I felt bad and even called the lady who bred her and spoke with her about it who reasured me that I know my dog and I will make the right decision for her. It’s a herb and root fasting diet. (Fasting allows the body to focus purely on recovery) we start a fast on 36hrs and feed for 2 days then increase the fast by 12hours and feed for 2 days. We are currently on the final fast of 5 days during a fast she will have bone broth and tea from the herbs/roots to fill her body with minerals and cleanse her body of the toxins being released from the skin causing the dry skin/rashes 3 times a day. The pictures show how bad her skin was and the video and photo are just from 17 days of this diet!
Please if you have lost all hope of fixing your dogs bad skin I can not recommend this process enough. I finally have my dog back and she’s back to herself. I have my tactical donkey back!!!! 🖤🤎🖤 Your advice and helps means so much more than you will ever know or realise and for anyone worried like I was about the fasting luna has lost next to no weight at all she’s still super active wanting to play and hasn’t changed in the slightest apart from her skin getting better day by day. Again thankyou so so much!
Baxter’s Success Story
Thankyou so much Gareth for all your help and patience today, have ordered the tinctures of Burdock root, Holy Blessed Thistle and Nettle leaf and will be fasting Baxter over the weekend and starting to use the Irish sea moss once he gets onto his raw so we can make a start ASAP. I realised once we got home we’d forgotten to get the bone broth paws – as I won’t be able to get over in the week is homemade chicken bone broth suitable and if so I’ll do my own to get him started til I can get over to you – does anyone else do their own bone broth ? Any helpful tips would be welcome
Hi any ideas welcome, Baxter loved his first two weeks of Quail and Venison but he just will not eat the chicken minces, beef or pork, I’ve thrown so many away over the past 10 Days, I’ve been putting it back in the fridge and trying again, he’s had about two mouthfuls in 5 days, the only thing he’s eating is his broth paw. Any ideas before I give in and get him venison? Baxter’s settling into his raw food diet and seems so much livelier and alert Still looks bad but it’s a huge improvement and hard to tell from the photos but you can definately feel a light down of fur in places
Hi Baxter is doing so well, some small patches still don’t seem to be growing fur but it’s a huge improvement, week 6 on raw – can’t Thankyou enough. Such a happy boy 💜 Hi popped into the shop this week with Baxter, his first visit, he’s now done 8 weeks on raw with the Irish sea moss and various tinctures. So happy with how his fur is growing back there’s a fine down on most of his patches now and a neighbour commented yesterday that he had a happy glow about him, thanks for all your advice. Still a way to go but it’s looking good 👍🏼
Hi just sending an update on Baxter and his Fur-less patches – it’s been about 9 weeks now on raw and even the stubborn patch now has fur – so much for the vet saying it was dead and would never grow back!! Can’t Thankyou enough for all your help and advice he is one very happy boy 💜 Hi Update on Baxter and his large bald patches where the vet said after skin tests/blood and urine tests – that some of it was dead and would never grow back! Fingers crossed, looking good after 3 months on raw, he’s not on any tinctures now just the sea moss – Thankyou so much for all your help and guidance 🙏x
Simon Jackson’s Healing Story
Getting me up 3/4 times per night for the toilet, £1700 vet bill and no further forward
Came to see Gareth just over 30 days ago! Initial problem was inflammation of the bladder….Getting me up 3/4 times per night for the toilet….£1700 vet bill and no further forward 🙄
I went to see Gareth and put my dog on a 30 day detox of herbs and fasting days! Week into this and she had a massive outbreak of spots all over her body 😬 phoned Gareth and explained it’s the natural cleansing process ,he added sarsaparilla (blood purifier) to the herbs I was already using
Detox finished and upto now (4days on) she is all good regarding toilet during the night and the spots have all disappeared 🎉 cannot thank him enough 👍🏻👍🏻 Didn’t take a picture to show the outbreak at it’s worst.

Jaffa’s Success Story
They gave us creams, washes, different tablets. Nothing stopped this disease from eating away at his body
Here is my English bulldog Jaffa. 3 years of age. Always been fit, healthy, strong, the most clear airways, usually went on walks up to around 8 miles. Around the 9th July we noticed a funky smell and puss coming from Jaffas back, we thought maybe this was a hotspot. He had a hotspot before but really small.
We took Jaffa to the vets and was instantly put on antibiotics. Jaffa was already on long term steroids for 10 months prior to this appointment for chronic ear infections. They also upped his steroids to try and stop the “hotspot” from spreading. Long story short it did not stop, it spread so quickly and after a vet appointment every two days of us worrying they didn’t know what it was and kept giving Jaffa more antibiotics and upping his steroids. They gave us creams, washes, different tablets. Nothing stopped this disease from eating away at his body. It smelt, it was wet, it was raw and extremely painful for him. We decided to go to a dermatologist instead as we got nowhere at this point and this infection had spread from palm size to covering the majority of his back. She took some bloods, skin scrapes and then prescribed further antibiotics and washes. We stuck with it again, but started to see a drastic change in Jaffa. He had no energy, lethargic, couldn’t stand, couldn’t walk, couldn’t lift his head up, eyes rolling to the back of his head, 10+ head tremors a day. Jaffa cried all the time, he would try and smash his head into the walls when the head tremors started to make it stop and would make himself bleed from biting or scratching against surfaces. He was in such an ill state. The dermatologist advised us at that point it would be a “fair” decision to put Jaffa down because he wasn’t responding to treatment and they said further tests would take months and months but Jaffa probably wouldn’t make it. We had exhausted everything we thought we could. Spent thousands of pounds at this point and didn’t know what disease was eating away at our little boys skin. We was one day away from putting Jaffa down… by some miracle a man went into my mums salon and recommended coming here urgently before taking Jaffa to the vets. We weren’t too sure anything would work at that point we were all exhausted and I was heartbroken for Jaffa going through so much pain every day. But me and my partner had to try everything before giving up. And boy am I glad we did. Gareth is absolutely incredible at what he does and his knowledge is second to none. He spoke to us in depth and explained why Jaffas body wasn’t healing. He immediately said “I’m confident Jaffas still got life in him and we can turn this around”. And he was absolutely right. We took Jaffa off every single medication he was on the same day. We started a detox. Fasting him gradually up to a 5 day fast. He was on a herbal tea that I made recommended by Gareth 3x a day. We have done this for the last 6 weeks. And let me tell you. Jaffa was not been able to walk, stand up for longer than 2 minutes or lift his head off the sofa for the last 3 months. Until now.
He’s better then ever before, running around, happy every day, sleeping on his back because he’s now able to get comfortable, he’s playing, jumping. It’s honestly the best feeling in the world knowing he’s happy and feeling well again. I know Gareth will say it’s been a team effort but hand on my heart cannot thank this man enough for essentially saving our Jaffa. Thank you so much. I cannot recommend them enough. This was caused by a build up of toxins, medications, steroids, antibiotics, things his body did not need! His body was close to giving up when all it was screaming for was to stop having the meds from the vets and to allow his body to heal with natural remedies. Before anyone allows their pet to get to this stage please just see this man and get some advise! He truly knows his stuff. THANK YOU!
