DAF-Minced-Pheasant is a wild caught game meat, due to this it’s important to let you know that it can contain shot. It is an ideal meat for dogs that suffer from “allergic” reactions from more common meat types such as Chicken or Beef.

It contains minerals such as, phosphorus & manganese which are important in building strong healthy bones and helping heal wounds, magnesium & potassium essential for a healthy brain, nerve function and muscular tissues, this is a healthy meat to look out for. Pheasant flesh also has high levels of Iron, essential as it cleans the blood and also carries oxygen and minerals to the cells that make up the physical body.

Pheasant is more likely to be available in the autumn (shooting season).

Please note:  it will contain EVERYTHING from the bird including: feathers, beaks, eyes, feet, claws, etc and may also include shot (due to it being a wild shot game meat) & corn (due to their crop not being emptied prior to mincing). The shot is not harmful, but have a good look through your dog’s bowl, most dogs will spit the shot out if found. Please be aware you may come across any of those things in this particular mince.

Feeding And Storage Guidelines

Store in the Freezer, best when defrosted in the fridge and should be used within 3-4 days (safe to defrost and refreeze)

A complementary food for dogs.

To achieve a complete and balanced Species Appropriate Raw Food diet (SARF) we do advise that you aim to feed a minimum of 5-7 different meats as each one provides your dog, cat or carnivore in general with different or higher levels of minerals/nutrients the cells of their body require to function and maintain health, this variation is what makes the diet complete and the 80% meat 10% bone 10% offal provides a balanced diet.
