The premium free range chicken and heart range is designed for cats as they need higher levels of taurine which is delivered as a natural supplement from the added heart. Taurine is an essential amino acid that cats need and is critical for normal vision, normal digestion, normal heart muscle function, to maintain normal pregnancy and fetal development, and to maintain a healthy immune system. Chicken contains Magnesium & Potassium which support the brain and nerves, Phosphorus, essential for healthy bones and Zinc required for all organs tissues, fluids and secretions. Heart also provides, Zinc along with Copper which enables the body to form red blood cells, Manganese is a strong antioxidant helping to reduce inflammation, particularly in combination with glucosamine and chondroitin, it also plays a role in blood sugar regulation. Phosphorus which is essential for healthy bones, Selenium playing an important role in the health of the immune system. This antioxidant also helps lower oxidative stress in the body, which reduces inflammation and enhances immunity. Studies have demonstrated that increased blood levels of selenium are associated with enhanced immune response. Heart is also low in sodium.
