Beef contains Zinc which is found in cells throughout the body and is needed for the body’s defensive (immune) system to properly work. It plays a role in cell division, cell growth and wound healing, zinc is also needed for the senses of smell and taste. Selenium plays an important role in the health of the immune system. This antioxidant helps lower oxidative stress in the body, which reduces inflammation and enhances immunity. Studies have demonstrated that increased blood levels of selenium are associated with enhanced immune response. Iron, is essential and cleans the blood, it also carries oxygen and minerals to the cells that make up the physical body and Phosphorus which is essential for healthy bones.
