Benefits;

Bone:

The bone itself yields minerals like calcium, phosphorus, sodium, magnesium, potassium, sulfur and silicon are also present.

Marrow:

Bone marrow provides minerals like iron, zinc, selenium, boron and manganese.

Connective Tissue:

This tissue provides glucosamine and chondroitin, which are popular dietary “synthetic” supplements for arthritis and joint pain.

Bone broth is a perfect Natural food supplement for our carnivores, but is especially useful with the young animals that are growing and developing or old infirm and sickly as it delivers such a nutritional punch.

Additionally, bones, marrow and connective tissue are all largely made up of collagen, which turns into gelatin when cooked.

Proline & glycine can also help to detox the liver and aid with wound healing, this includes muscle repair & growth and can even help to regulate blood sugar levels, glycine is also known to give a calming effect as it’s converted by the brain into serine, which is a neurotransmitter which helps to reduce stress and improve mood, Proline is also proven to reduce the build up of cholesterol in the body.

Feeding:

Bone broths can be served frozen as a treat in the summer time or warmer months, or defrosted and added to their meal to pack in a really valuable and natural – (organic- of life) supplement!

We highly recommend using bone broth alongside herbal tea’s. Since the herbs can be quite bitter, bone broth’s are a tasty addition to encourage your dog to consume the tea. We recommend starting with 50/50 mixture of bone broth to tea ratio, however you can increase the broth as needed if your dog wont consume it.
